I’ve been waiting for a Puerto Rican–Chinese–style restaurant in DFW for years, and Michi’s did not disappoint! I was so excited when I heard they were opening here. I’m not the kind of person who waits in long lines for food, but I made an exception for this one—and it was worth it. I tried the mofongo, arroz chino (pork fried rice) with pepper steak, and tostones. Everything was absolutely delicious! They also have Puerto Rican–style sushi, which is usually amazing and super creative (think sweet plantains, churrasco, and other fun twists), but it sold out on opening day due to high demand. No worries—I’ll definitely be back next week to try it. If you’ve never had Puerto Rican Chinese food (“chino boricua”), you have to try the mofongo relleno de churrasco and their ribs rice combo—and whatever you do, don’t skip the tostones with mayoketchup (chef’s kiss!). I’ve visited their Houston location before and loved it, but I’m thrilled they opened one closer to home. Their menu has so many interesting options like sorullitos, empanadillas de pizza, and empanadillas de guayaba. The staff is super friendly, and if you get a chance to meet Michi herself, say hi—she’s very friendly.

Finally! Was super excited and came in before the grand opening so lines were a lot smaller . The cashier who helped us was not as friendly as she should’ve been, not only to us but to people who came and ordered after us. The rice was amazing, the mofongo (not pictured because I finished it super fast) was AMAZING, the orange chicken and peppered steak were a bit off on the flavor but we’ve chalked it to it being before the grand opening. I will retry once the hype has gone down and lines are a bit more accessible

I’ve tried Michy’s in Houston so when they came to DFW I had to go and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The full parking lot says it all! They gave big portions and the food was absolutely delicious! My kids loved it. Even though the line was long, it was not a long wait to order. Plus Puerto Rican music in the background. I will be returning! No complaints!

The food was delicious! We ordered bbq ribs and pepper steak with tostones. There was a 2hr wait but they just opened recently and it was lunch time. Definitely worth the wait and we will be back soon! The plates were large and enough for two meals. They came with rice and two egg rolls.

Michy's is absolutely worth the wait! There's always a long line every day, and for good reason. Those people who left bad reviews because they couldn't wait in that long line and wanted to stop others to come. I guarantee they'll come again and hopeful to have a better access. Totally understood! However I have to say.... The food is incredible - a perfect blend of Chinese and Puerto Rican flavors that you won't find anywhere else. Every dish tastes freshly made, and packed with flavor. The staff are friendly and make sure you feel welcome even when the place is packed. You can tell they truly cate about their customers and take pride in what they do. I saw it on Instagram posts, and surprised how welcomed they are in person too! I came hungry and waited for their freshly made food - it's 100% worth it. Will come back again.

The flavors are out of this world — the perfect mix of island comfort and Asian-inspired goodness. Every dish is seasoned to perfection, fresh, and made with love. The portions are generous, the service is warm and friendly, and you can truly taste the authenticity in every bite. From the fried rice to the tostones and perfectly cooked meats, everything hits just right. Whether you’re Puerto Rican missing the flavors of home or just someone who loves amazing food, Michy’s Chinos Boricua is hands down the best in DFW! You’ll definitely be coming back for more.
